Youth residential facilities client summary cards, 1940-1978.

This series consists of 3" x 5" index cards containing summary data on approximately 50,000 former inmates of youth residential facilities. Most cards include the following data on former inmates: name; date admitted or received; offense; case number; district; date committed and judge's name; county where committed; date of birth; birthplace; race or ethnicity; religion; court/trial dates; orphan or half-orphan status if applicable; whether parents living or deceased; parents' religion; parents' and stepparents' birthplaces and addresses; information on foster parents; date and person to whom paroled; and final disposition or discharge date. Scattered cards contain handwritten notes highlighting certain activities or actions.
